How this calculator works

The calculator solves two numbers: Ti (how many boxes fit in a single layer on the pallet footprint) and Hi (how many layers fit within the pallet's height and weight limits). It tests three layer arrangements — a simple block grid, a row pattern that rotates leftover boxes to fill the remaining strip, and a pinwheel pattern that fills leftover space on two edges plus the corner — and keeps whichever arrangement fits the most boxes. Hi is then capped by whichever limit hits first: the pallet's maximum stack height, or its maximum load weight.
